Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s statement and answers to media questions following a ministerial meeting of the Caspian littoral states, Ashgabat, June 28, 2022
Yesterday, all Western media outlets were abuzz with videos from
Kremenchug that showed a burning shopping centre and accused the Russian
military of bombing civilian infrastructure. The Russian Defence
Ministry clearly and carefully explained what had happened in reality:
they bombed a hangar with weapons and ammunition that had arrived from
the United States and Europe. The explosion of that ammunition set the
abandoned shopping center nearby on fire.

Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s interview with the National State Television and Radio Company of the Republic of Belarus, Moscow, June 23, 2022
The West fears honest competition. Many people are aware of this. Hence,
a desire to cancel the culture of any country that stands on its own,
nationally-oriented positions, a ban on TV broadcasting, expulsion of
objectionable politicians from social media and suppression of
everything that contradicts in some way the neo-liberal vision and
arrangement of the world. This happens all the time. The West does not
live in accordance with the truth.

Excerpt from Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s interview with the National State Television and Radio Company of the Republic of Belarus
What surprises me more are not the lies that we hear daily and hourly
from Kiev, but the fact that Kiev's sponsors have joined in this game of
lies.

Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s interview with the BBC TV channel, St Petersburg, June 16, 2022
We are going back to what the Minsk agreements were coordinated for:
protecting Russians in Donbass, who have been betrayed by the French and
Germans. The British also played a leading role. All our Western
colleagues kept saying they were unable to make Kiev honour the Minsk
agreements.

Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s interview with TASS news agency, St Petersburg, June 16, 2022
Russia sees a path forward to a settlement in a way that President
Vladimir Putin has repeatedly made clear. We are defending Donbass. We
had to recognise the independence of the Donetsk People’s Republic and
the Lugansk People’s Republic. We will uphold their independence within
the borders where they held the referendum in 2014. This process is
underway, but not without difficulties.

Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s statement and answers to media questions at a news conference following a meeting of the CSTO Council of Foreign Ministers, Yerevan, June 10, 2022
The CSTO Council of Foreign Ministers’ meeting has come to an end. The
participants adopted an important statement on international security,
in which they fixed, for the first time in the CSTO format, the
principle of indivisibility of security – the need to ensure equal and
indivisible security where not a single country will enhance its
security at the expense of the security of any other state. The OSCE
declared this principle as a political commitment long ago, but our
Western colleagues are bluntly refusing to fulfil it in practice. They
demanded legal security guarantees exclusively within NATO.

Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s remarks and answers to questions during a meeting with the New Horizons educational marathon participants, Moscow, May 17, 2022
We are ready to address humanitarian issues, as happened yesterday, when thanks to the initiatives of the Russian military on the ground it proved possible to evacuate hundreds of wounded soldiers from the Azovstal plant. These are the principles that form the basis of the Russian army’s ethos.

Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s remarks at the 30th Assembly of the Council on Foreign and Defence Policy, Moscow, May 14, 2022
Western politicians should accept the fact that their efforts to isolate
our country are doomed. Many experts have already recognised this, even
if quietly and off the record, because saying this openly is
“politically incorrect.” But this is happening right now. The
non-Western world is coming to see that the world is becoming
increasingly more diverse.
