Vladimir Putin signed Federal Law On Amendments to Articles 25 and 256 of the Federal Law on the Exit from and Entry into the Russian Federation.
The Federal Law is aimed at providing an opportunity for representatives or employees of major foreign companies investing in Russia, or companies engaged in project implementation for the Skolkovo innovation centre or the international financial centre in the Russian Federation, to obtain visas at Russian embassies or consulates based on direct request by a federal authority authorised by the Government of the Russian Federation.
These foreign citizens will be able to obtain a business visa valid for five years instead of one year, as currently stipulated by Russian legislation.
